Tom, if I posted as much as you did, this would become a site for children's and young adult lit.

I can't really post on what I don't have time to read about. Without content, there is nothing to say.

I really can't post when the fire has gone to my head because of the eightfivehundredth time I read about the stupid traitorous shortsighted (take your pick of the adjectives) people who disagree with the current bellicose administration's approach to terrorism, which approach is tantamount to using a nuclear warhead to deal with a roach infestation. I've fallen into that pit more than once here, and I won't go there again.

There are certain opinions I hold because I was raised in the wild by nuns. Those opinions are based on principles that come from my moral center, and as I have lived by those principles all these years, I doubt they will ever change. To repeat them over and over becomes boring not only for me, but for anyone who reads the posts.

I suppose that that is where my Left tendencies come from: nuns are the original communists. Also, my dad is left-handed, my mom's sister is left-handed, my sister is left-handed, one of my daughters is left-handed... left-handedness is considered the gift of creativity in my family.

Thanks for the kind words, though.

Now, if you'll excuse me, 30 preschoolers from a local day care will be in this morning for a story time and book selection field trip. We will be reading stories and doing fingerplays about fireflies! Did you know that the firefly is Pennsylvania's state insect?

The kindergarten group will come in later for a similar session about candy. A local candy manufacturer will be visiting their room early next week. There's this story about a couple of alligators named Mr. & Mrs. Green who use jelly beans as bait when they go fishing...
