Bowser: "But there's still a problem. The reporter might not be a Republican."
It's unlikely reporter is Republican. Most reporters aren't and the reporter said:
"It saddens me that you teach this to students at Yale, who could be thinking about society in complex and meaningful ways. "
That would be rather strange thing for a Republican to say- after all aren't Republicans generally, "simpleminded":).
I find it difficult to believe the math guy is a Kerry supporter. First math isn't usually a strong domain of Dems- "too boring". Second, he explained that "game theory" would indicate that there wasn't a good way to answer the question. "Game theory" would indicate that if he was actually a Kerry supporter, then he wouldn't first answer by explaining "game theory". I think it's more probable that he is neither a "Bush supporter" nor a "Kerry supporter", but that the correct answer according to game theory was to convince the stupid reporter that he was a Kerry supporter, rather then "try" to give the real answer- which the reporter wouldn't believe- assume he was lying and that he actually was a Bush supporter.
