"I am registered in the Republican party, as I have said before, because I wish to cast meaningful votes in local elections, which are largely determined at the primary level. It is purely an alliance of convenience, and it certainly doesn't make me any friendlier to the derogatory statement you made about Democrats that refers to fully 7/8 of my family. Nor does it make your statement about Democrats in any way accurate."
Yes I recall [vaguely] you mentioning in a post that it something to do with convenience- but also recall [vaguely] in much eariler post where it wasn't so qualified.
<snip>
"You seem to want to talk about proficiency, but only when you can make some flip, unsupported, insulting remark about Democrats.
And seems like you are claiming that "we" [I assume you mean Liberal Republicans] are more skillful at English. [underline mine]
[Correction: That would be "more skilled in" or "more skillful with". Skills imply tools. As one cannot be more skilled at a hammer, one cannot be more skilled at English. You may have been looking for the concept of "talent", in which "English" is treated as a metaphor for literary expression, an art.]"
I am using "English" and "Math" in a loose way, but you can't say it's an error or that I'm incorrect in the use of the word "at". And you can be more skilled at hammering- or "hammer" [if you understand that "hammer" can be an area of expertise].
"That's "we" in the sense of human beings, without more subdivisions."
Well, you claim that you are replying to my post and I wasn't talking about "human beings", I was talking about Dems.
" I start from the largest set and draw more specific comparisons from there. I have become extremely specific, centering my attention on you personally, so that you may develop some appreciation for the corrosive effect of your reliance on unsupported overgeneralizations. My rash hope that you can pay attention to this, joined to my belief that you have an empathic bone somewhere in your head, encourages me to reply."
I do appreciate any effort to reduce "the corrosive effect of [my] reliance on unsupported overgeneralizations".

"God gave you one mouth and two ears. Take the hint."
~An old saying, frequently quoted by my family members, Democrats but still able to count~ "
"Still able to count". And you think I'm being insulting by saying, Math isn't usually a strong domain of Dems.
