13 percent of our demographic accounts for at least 42 percent of the gun murders in this country. To pretend that this isn't one factor in the overall numbers for the U.S., simply because it's politically-incorrect, is stupid. The reasons for this cultural dysfunction is an entirely different subject, although it might also lead the average liberal someplace he doesn't want to go, i.e. decades of social engineering.
A lot of the countries we are usually compared with are just now entering a new phase of demographic impact. Just in the last ten years migration into the EU has tripled. In 1998 only 3.2 percent of Spain's population was foreign born. Ten years later it was 13.4 percent. We'll see what happens to their crime statistics.
