That's a very good question.
Jesus would probably not have invaded Iraq. But then he probably wouldn't have argued againt it either.
My religion (Roman Catholic) teaches that you can be a good Christian and support a just war...The question is, when is a war a just war and when is it unjust? I don't think you could get two people to agree on the concept of what is just and what is unjust, especially when discussing an issue as devicive as war...
For true and complete justice to occur in this world, everyone, including our enemies would have to know, understand, and accept the answer to the question: "What would Jesus do?" (Even if they didn't believe in Jesus).
It can't happen. Most religions teach that true justice can't even be achieved in this world: We must wait until it is realized in a "final judgement".
There are a lot of Sadam Hussains who are more than willing to prey on those who live their lives by the Golden Rule...Unfortunatly, at the current time and with the possibility of nucular weapons falling into the hands of a lunatic like Hussain, we just can't wait that long...
