Do you realize a whole lot of countries recognize that they owe freedom, better security, and economies to the US? The former soviet block countries understand what Old Europe has forgotten. I also understand that France has been playing status games for decades trying to prop up its international status at the expence of the US while relying on the US for protection at the same time. They refused to allow over flights to bomb Libya in response to terrorist acts. They fled the coalition after GW1 to cash in on contracts with Saddam. They had high officials bribed by Saddam and mostly supported the policies he wanted. The settled with libya for terrorist compensation for low sums to stay on good terms with them then demanded far higher compensation once Americans bargained for terms more in line with what we would expect. They have tried to dominate the EU and got very nasty with new EU members that supported us with regard to Iraq. In short I don't give a rats ass what the French think nore those that think AL-Jazeera is fair reporting.

We are responsible for our security. And we have to do what our best judgement dictates not the opinions of people who consistantly fail to protect others while constantly wagging their tongues about ideals they have no intentions of protecting. The fact that these people want action through the UN despite it's record of failure and corruption indicate clearly how little they actually care about getting something done or at least how muddy their thought processes are.
