Having lived under 12 presidents....
I can assure you that I would be taking it just fine. This country is bigger than any of it's leaders and we manage to live through them all.
I lived through Johnson's war and his Great Society. Then it became Nixon's war for many more years. I lived through Carter's Malaise, 20% inflation and international shame.
If Kerry had won the sun would have still come up in the East. The difference would have been nuance not revolution. When you start thinking it makes a huge difference you are fooling yourself.
Once every 400-500 years someone comes along that does make a difference but the difference is not always good.
