Might want to be careful about that generalization.

Living in California, it has not been uncommon for me to be on the losing side of every proposition on a ballot. Most seem to involve billions of dollars in bonds (i.e. charging it on the State Visa Card) to do Something Wonderful and Absolutely Essential.
