in the treatment of nausea. It has another 149 compounds in it.
Additionally, the reason why marijuana works in glaucoma is that the body is trying to detoxify itself. I expect that if marijuana becomes legal, what will probably happen is that the pharmaceutical companies will work on hybrids which are less intoxicating, but still effective.
There is another issue here besides the medical use of marijuana, which is the use of heroin for the management of severe pain. It is prescribed in roughly 1/3 of the cases of this in the UK. Now either the UK physicians are incompetent, or the current law is intruding on the doctor patient relationship in this country, and denying US citizens the best treatment.
But these facts are besides the point. In any case, our federal narcotic acts as they now stand are unconstitutional, as they intrude on this relationship, which is what the Jefferson, Thompson, Brown, and Bond brother's correspondence shows.
I do not know if the attourneys in the case have presented this correspondence to the court. Nonetheless, the acts of the legislatures' (plural) should give the court some indication that that same common sense which the Creator gives to all men in greater or lesser degree still exists today in this country, as they have indicated that they consider this matter to be within the doctor patient relationship, regardless of the problem of the relation of federal statute to state statute.

PS - Many find your accusation that all of those who support the legalization of medical use are all "druggies" to be greatly offensive. I advise you to not accuse them of that to their faces in a public place.
