I spent a summer taking care of my grand father as he died from panceatic/liver/prostate cancer... he was given large amounts of morephiene probably more than most junkies get. What I learned first hand was that people in pain do not get addicted- if they need the drug then they need it and dont get addicted.
For you to call them druggies is offensive- even with the drugs he suffered... If you know medicine then you know that pancriatic and liver cancer is a death sentence. If Pot would have helped him I would have bought it, and lit the joint for him. Hell it may have made his last days a bit better if I had....
My grandfather was really one of the FEW people I would call a saint. You dont get addicted to drugs you need. When your brain is flooded with pain you dont get addicted to that which relieves the pain... When you are dying does addiction even matter?
When people are suffering, they deserve to choose the degree of their relief. what degree that they want to be drugged. My grandfather stayed mostly lucid to his last few days- He had to deal with his kids and grandkids wiping his ass- he was a decent and proud man- and that obviously hurt him- to be so dependant. He died in our house, sadly alone in his sleep, but he had his family around nearly round the clock. And always around when he was concious.
So, Lee, People that need a drug that is 'illegal' or controlled may know what the alternative is... want to call my grandpa a druggie? A man that I never saw take a drink?
But they are just all druggies rite....? God I hope you never are responsible for helping the dying in their last days.- I would guess that white sufferers would get more kind treatment based on your past posts...
Opiates are a humane thing, and unless you lived with someone that truly needed them dont bother to respond. Ever think other illegal drugs might help those in pain? Ever look at the pain the over the counter drugs have caused? Cigarettes are a serious cause of death... still legal, even though they Kill more than any other illegal drug...
Shut the hell up you piece of redneck shit!
