re: Another lame argument

"Huge climate change has happened in the past naturally
I fail to see how the above fact has a damn thing to do with the FACT that we are creating huge climate change now... do you think we can have a change like that and it wont lead to problems for humanity?"

It's not a huge change. It's Parts per Million.

"All your graph shows is that greenhouse gasses DO lead to warming, and that the last time CO2 levels were above 300 ppm was 130,000 years ago... NOW look at ET's graph and look how sharply the ppm of CO2 has risen- WE ARE NOT TALKING CHANGE OVER GEOLOGICAL TIME HERE!"

It's good we don't have a record of greenhouse gas for Mars, otherwise RL would be claiming it proves there is an advanced Martian civilization.

The exact causual relationship between CO2 and global warming is not known. There is a concurrence, but this doesn't indicate cause.
Also CO2 levels varies globally and seasonally. Localized levels of CO2 can be significantly increased by human activity, this is very easy to see if you watch video of Global CO2 levels:
http://www.gsfc.nasa.gov/gsfc/earth/terra/co.htm

Your house could be said to be sensitive to increased CO2 levels- or it's designed to keep warm or cold gas in. Having people in a house will increase the CO2 levels. Because of it's nature arctic areas are also sensitive CO2 increases. Normally arctic areas are lower in CO2 content than other regions. The soviets with there huge build up industrial centers in northern parts of the country have had much larger affect of the local CO2 than if these same cities were in more temperate regions.

"Can you honestly say that if we continue as we are that this trend will not continue? Do you believe some magical sink of CO2 is going to just appear? We are increasing the sources of CO2 while reducing the sinks- anyone with a reasoning brain understands what this will lead to."

CO2 levels are a dynamic element it can no way be described as static and steadly increasing quanitity. And yes their are "magical sinks" everywhere and we don't understand this very throughly. The ocean is one the biggest magical sinks, forests are another, weather systems another. This magical thing has build hundreds of miles of underground tunnels- for an example of how *magical* it is:)
