These games are getting old, Tom- as an engineer I would have expected more of you

The fact is that the rise from CO2 is what you would expect from the amount we are putting into the atmosphere. WE know the process by which increased CO2 can lead to a greenhouse effect- there is no question that incresed CO2 will lead to warming.

we understand the cause of the increased CO2, we know at the very least qualitatively what effect that increase will have, and we have empirical data showing that warming is occuring...

Lets drop the nonsense and accept that this is a real problem, if you honestly look at the data you cannot debate this fact.

What IS debatable is how to best handle the problem- I think the FIRST step is to move to nuclear power- other steps that could be taken are to guide china and india towards less polluting sources of energy- It wont really matter what the US does if these emerging nations are burning coal in order to grow...

But NOTHING will happen if we have uneducated jackasses like scott and gbaikie choosing to remain ignorant and just snickering at 'those enviro whackos'.
