What would Europe, South and Central America, and the Middle East be like today if we had taken the leftist positions on all of these for the past two decades?

Europe? Likely where it is now.

South and Central America? More democratic, friendlier to the US and more trusting of us, less friendly to Cuba, fewer missing family members.
