But no. Let's all accept the merchandized, prepackaged version of political thought, philosophy and morality. Mass-marketted concepts are more shallow, but they're easier. Heaven knows we wouldn't want to have to work for our thoughts, let alone work hard. Individuality really doesn't count for much anymore.

Yeah, he's moved from the left, so that can't have arisen from deep soul-searching, he can't be feeling conflicted or ambivalent etc., like he articulates in his column? Nah, he's just fallen for the slick advertising hook, line and sinker, chowing down and pigging out on some political equivalent of a Big Mac.
