Yeah, I know. History and alternatives are so boring. Surely our lives would be no different if we had never interfered with the Soviet encroachment in our hemisphere, just abandoned Israel entirely, or unilaterally dismantled our nuclear arsenal.

The beauty of this kind of thinking is that you can never be wrong, can you?
