Your initial premise is false, that the North Vietnamese obtained any useful military information. The primary result, what there was of it, was obtaining propaganda statements. This is consistent with your position that torture doesn't work as an information source, but you can't believe that and the military usefulness of North Vietnamese torture at the same time.
Your follow-up is false. Americans captured by the enemy in this war have indeed been abused, and often killed, but most have been civilians, with no useful information at all.
Not one person has died at Guantanamo, and the Left is focusing on levels of abuse that would be considered privileged treatment in any other military prison on Earth, unless it was in Switzerland.

Give it up. Guanatanamo is not a "gulag" and never was. Go back to Abu Ghraib again. You had a pretty good political weapon there. The Democrats see that even if you don't, which is why they are trying to release more pictures and videos.
