This is particularly noticeable in Western States where Mexican workers may now be able to stay year-round in the US where normally they would either go home, or not come to work here at all, because of their increased travel costs. In a way, welfare assistance can be shown to be a taxpayer subsidy to private enterprise.

This provides yet another reason why the business community has not been as enthusiastic about deporting illegals or stopping them at the border as have underemployed working class Americans.

Tell me, is this the kind of stuff they teach MBA students?
