The law was specifically targeted at WalMart.
The actual minimum wage remains at $8.25 for every other business in the city except WalMart.
If the existing minimum wage, what WalMart would be paying otherwise, is actually a "poverty wage," please explain how this is acceptable for every other employer in the city except WalMart. I would particularly be interested in seeing how the square footage of a store affects an employee's ability to live on a particular wage.
