Don't judge the place solely by our least common denominator
Add up the pros and the cons, then decide if the place is worth your time, money, and in your case safety. Everybody here ignores at least one or two individuals, if you decide to stay I hope you learn that skill as well.
I for one hope you stay. I've enjoyed reading your insights as should any truly objective person.
