Hi! I understand your concerns and doubts both about my- and your situation and I respect all the rights you have because this is your place. However I am now realizing that I am probably the only Iranian here and many of HZ regular visitors never saw an Iranian here, although some of them clearly had very good experiences before with Iranians and I am happy that you met good Iranians and you don't have bad experiences with Iranians.
Many would think that mullahs themselves are sitting behind a big computer and reviewing each and every packet. That's what is not true and there are millions only in Tehran that are surfing every day. Iranian ISPs will recieve a ban list from government and they have to ban those designated sites. ISPs are also a part of Iranian people, they are not Mullahs' servants, they do have to follow certain tyrannic rules and up until today, it's limited to a list of 90% of the internet which they should black list. When you go directly to one of those site (er... almost anywhere, can you believe sourceforge.net is also banned?) you get a page from ISP that says dear subscriber, this page is blocked because of the content etc. ISPs are also not happy with it because they don't like policing people and they want to be free as much as a simple user wants.
That said, it doesn't mean mullahs don't have control over internet in Iran or Iran is free, Iran is kind of complicated, people are all in cage, whether you are a director of a private ISP or a simple citizen. It's not like all the ISPs are directly controlled every second by mullahs but they must obey the tyranny too. So in my case as an internet surfer, I avoid ranting in internet cafes, i buy an internet card from a not so 'governmental' ISP and then i try to find a hole in internet so i can surf freely. That's all there is to it. If I get arrsted for asking Americans for an air assult? I will go to jail for who knows how long, but it's the same for any other thing, for drinking a beer, for wearing a michael jackson t-shirt, for kissing a girl in a park(which is un-imagine-able for us to do that) and many other stuff.
As for being a scam troll, i never heard of that word, i knew what a troll is (from /.) but not really what a scam troll may be although now i can imagine what you mean a bit. I choose this nick to be clear who i am. I also think that I pretty much said what I have to say and I try to not comment on everything that has nothing to do with me, but I am here once in a while and I found here via /. comments and it's a nice place. So maybe I should just limit my comments and in the mean time if you have question you like to ask me, i am around. I know many people are anti-bush now in America because the things are going 'wrong' in Iraq but all i am saying is Iranians are different and are not like those Iraqis without appreciation, which may sound arrogant and stupid but i hope time can prove this to Americans and one day Iranians and Americans can be friends like the time of shah (i saw pictures of shah and nixon together and i like to be friend with other countries. shah was not so good too but he was some how human and not animal like mullahs)
Take care and thank you for all the good heart and efforts. ;-)
