Sam F.>Donald is saying Bush was playing golf AS Katrina hit, not AFTER. His claim appears to be true.

President Bush played golf in the morning hours of August 29th? Remember, Katrina made landfall a little after 6-7 a.m.

Don stated on 9/7 that Bush played golf in Arizona. If he did, it would have been after Katrina made landfall.

The president celebrated Sen. McCain's birthday after he arrived at Luke Air Force Base near Phoenix. The released photo of the celebration does not look like it was taken in the early morning daylight hours. He then paid a visit to the golf resort in El Mirage. At about 4:30 p.m., he arrived at Naval Base Coronado near San Diego.
