You don't play golf when it's 108 degrees outside.
Golf in Arizona is played in winter. But it sounds good doesn't it?
"Nero fiddled as Rome burned!"
"Bush golfed as New Orleans was swept out to sea!"
Golfing has that upperclass, slow-paced feel that propagandists love.
You wont see them say, "Bush was playing racquetball," which is too fast paced, nor will you hear them shout, "Bush was bowling," which is too pedestrian.
"Bush was golfing in Arizona as hurricane Katrina hit!," sounds just right.
Clearly most of the propagandists haven't been in Arizona during the summertime.
