I certainly agree with you more than I disagree with you and I am usually content to let you carry the flag because you carry it so well and in an amicable way that is above my pay grade.
It was a compliment and you should take it as such.
As for Bush I do not "love him like a rock" and he is deservedly down in the presidential polls. We always need a hero on the job and he has proven to be most mundane in his management of the country.
Comparing him to Nixon, I find him (at this point) more honorable but less able and less intelligent. He just doesn't seem to have a handle on things and insulates himself to the point of following bad advice as well as good. I have not had much esteem for him since he admitted that he does not read newspapers.
It will be interesting to see how his term winds up. I suspect he will serve it out and go down in history as a most mediocre CE. If it plays out that way, who knows who will win in 08.
I will put my money on a moderate be he/she GOP or DEM and hope we get the hero we need.
