sad politics

It's sad that a proponent of one side of a debate
can explain why people disagree with him, only
on the basis of bad intentions (or ignorance).

For fair-minded people, such an attitude raises
serious doubts about such a person's intellectual balance.

But there seems to be a lot of that going around
these days.
