I like the idea of putting wind turbines on powerlines. For many reasons you'd want to put them below rather than above the high voltage lines, but it seems like it would still work.

In my paid work as an enviro-whacko, I've opposed efforts to restrict windmills here in Santa Clara County. Call me an anti-NIMBY.
