re: Right back at you "Both the lack of awrareness of reality and the faulty logic are stunning"

Chris, you hand me a poll that indicates that public support for continuing with the ISS as ISS is around 70%, and claim that it does nothing of the sort.

I posted the poll here at Space Science. So I didn't exactly "hand you" the poll and again it was an internet poll you clueless retard! It was interesting in what was being asked and how those who replied felt about the question. It doesn't scale to the public in the USA. A clue-- anyone anywhere on the web could take the poll several times if they really wanted to.

You comment on a poll that indicates that support for manned Moon is far higher than for manned Mars, and claim that it supports manned Mars.

Yes, well you want to look at a single poll and preferably one which supports your views. There are lots of "valid" polls and they disagree with each other. That you don't see a good poll saying 38% of those phoned support manned Mars exploration is somewhat at odds with one saying only 18% do the very same thing is not surprising. That you ignore the numbers and facts and try hard to manipulate numbers to fit your views are clearly your Achilles heel. I have polling numbers that say 58% support manned Mars missions and ~40% for a return to the Moon and have number even less favorable for the Moon (which I gave you in Community just a week ago).

You support commercial space prizes, but let loose a string of insults at the suggestion they be used for Mars exploration.

Where do I let "loose a string of insults" over a Mars prizes oh maker of straw people. I would support several Mars prizes.

The results of internet polls reflect the participants: a poll on a space site is preo-space, but a poll on a general news site is likely to be more accurate, allowing for the biases of net users.

What a load of BS. See above from me.

None of the pollsters have ever polled on planetary defense, and how much people want that.

Which doesn't seem to stop you from making claims not based on facts. Try going to Chicago for a weekend and survey the public at a mall or two. Maybe you could get the NSS in Illinois to help in the poll. Then at least you would have some numbers not that you would know what to do with them.

Before you go off again, it would help if you talked with some people who have absolutely no interest in space sometime.

First off I do public outreach several times a year at Malls. I talk to ordinary (uninterested in space) public in large numbers you don't! Don't tell me what you a poor researcher, statistician and logician think the public's opinion is on any subject. You think without any polling data the public would support Lunar CAPS over any other space activity!

Like you have ever even talked to large numbers of the public and would want to. Being to afriad to see how little they care about Lunar CAPS.
