Those born outside of the USA and have lived elsewhere, know a little bit more about the country from a different perspective, one that is not subject to media censorship or corporate run advertising execs.

I lived half my life in Canada and half my life here in the US and even I cringe at the stupidy and arrogance of this administration and their attempts at political spin, media control and absolute adherence to their revolutionary attempts to re-make the world in their narrow-minded vision. One disaster after another. I mean, how bad can it get?
I have listened to many here off the cuff and Bush is not all that popular. Usually the just the rich and ignorant are still eating it up.
Sometimes it's easier to parrot the party line like an actor reading a script, than have to be responsible for any personal decision making.
Our news broadcasts for most part, just regurgitate the party line.

Watching Al Sadr calling to stop the violence in Iraq and the Russian-Iran nuclear talks today; I think there's a small glimmer of hope that peace might be possible after everyone's tired of seeing death and destruction.
