While change can be good, and a certain amount is needed and desired, too much of the change going on today serves no other purpose than to draw attention to those advocating it. "Pushing the envelope" simply to draw attention to themselves. The compulsive need for them to do something "naughty" simply to get the attention they so desperately crave is a sign of a weak and childlike personality. It's almost like a small child acting out as a means to get any attention. You find this character trait far more on left leaning individuals than in right leaning ones.
