The Democrats howled in agony at every confrontational move Reagan made for eight years of the Cold War, both against the U.S.S.R. and against its various puppet movements in our own hemisphere.

I find it hard to believe that had the 80s consisted of the Carter, Mondale or Dukakis administrations, that the Cold War would be over today.
