Hitler himself would claim that while recuperating behind the lines from a leg wound, he found Jewish â€œslackersâ€ dominating the war-production bureaucracy and that â€œthe Jew robbed the whole nation and pressed it beneath his domination.â€

my maternal grandfather was an Unteroffizier in the German infantry in WW1. Presumably he contributed to their defeat, since he was turned to ashes by the Nazis some time around 1942.
(also presumably for the crime of later being a country lawyer and farmer)
