Sorry, I just assumed you wanted to purchase some "Sharper Image" type of AC unit online.
You know summer is coming up here when the local markets start carrying the fans and misters. Wal-mart and Home Depot stock up on A/C units, but they are usually either wimpy or overpriced for the cooling capacity.
Out here we have "Water Shops". "What's that?" you ask. I did too and then I visited one. Water shops sell...you guessed it...water and...ice. Every brand of bottled water you can imagine, ice from various local ice-makers. Many even have a vending machine built in to their storefronts so that people can pull up at 2:00am and get their need water and ice. One I know imports "Thrifty" drugstore brand ice cream from California (No Thrifty drugstores out here only a jillion Walgreen's ) and sells both ice cream and water - talk about diversification!
Another Arizona factoid...it is illegal to refuse a person a glass of water if they ask for one and you can provide it. You can go to any fast food joint and ask for a large ice water or ten ice waters - and it's free. ;-) They don't even give you the bad look fast food places usually reserve for those who ask for extra sauces and things. Whoop de doo! I wonder if that works at the water shop? Somehow I suspect the bad looks would be forthcoming.
Have fun installing the AC. If these temperatures keep up I suspect liberal environmentalists may start to rethink the ban on freon and refrigerants that actually work.
;-)
