You seem to be missing the core point about the mythology of betrayal, about how it's deeply rooted in the right-wing mind and informs and permeates so much of its worldview. This is psychology, bubba, not a history lesson...

...nor even a political debate, really. This is more of a scientific inquiry, a fearless expedition into the dark and noisome crannies of the right-wing mind. It's a dirty job, but somebody's got to do it.
