Let me stress where ER and I are in fundamental agreement:
Variability of climate is a significant threat to many segments of global economies.
Rather than pick the alleged "ONE CAUSE" and commit to a trillion-dollar multi-decadal mitigation strategy -- where nobody will know if it's even working until all of us are dead -- my different view is that a broad-based technological program of thermal balance intervention across the board -- exo-atmospheric, ionospheric, high cloud albedo, low cloud albedo, surface albedo, ocean near-surface mist generation, etc etc -- needs to be initiated immediately, with near-term small-scale prototyping and evaluation, while the ethical and practical issues of deliberate climate process intervention is debated out.
And CO2 concentration suppression is part of this, but with an across-the-board (NOT 'single-point') array of control technologies.
It's messier. But it plays to our technological strengths and avoids playing to politicalization and alarmism.

- Solar variation NOT mere luminosity
- Right here ER.
