A year and a week late, in fact, since I posted that message on 17 January 2007. But don't worry, the other RightWing guests already tried the one about blaming it on a Clinton, as they try to blame a Clinton every time RightWingers are caught doing something nasty. Or if a Clinton can't be nailed for it, then of course a Clinton did it first, and that makes it all OK.

Interesting timing for launching a smear campaign a year ago, if it was Hillary trying to tarnish somebody who hadn't even emerged as her opponent, dontcha think? Not to mention the odd strategy of circulating a smear among Republicans if the idea was to turn Democrats against him. Think maybe it garnered him some sympathy when word leaked out about the nasty things RightWingers were saying about him in the privacy of their email lists? Oh yeah, that explains it, Obama did it to himself to gain sympathy. Yeah, that makes even more sense than Hillary doing it!
