I think your post assumes an obvious anti-McCain sentiment from a group like Move-On indicates the opposition to the man is only coming from the left. Scott, I live in Arizona and I have to tell you, no matter what the makeup of the group I hang in around here, there aren't many kind words about the man that used to be a political second coming.

I'm really wondering if he could even win his next term in these parts if the Dems could find an attractive challenger. The major comment from people is they feel he's sold out in a lust for power. During Bush's last campaign it became absolutely obvious to me that McCain was gritting his teeth or had his fingers crossed behind his back every time he endorsed the man. Lately he seems to not even be affected by it all as he reaches out for the fundamentalist core.

Whatever maverick component he used to exhibit is now dead and buried. As sudden as this change occurred in him I can't help but wonder what they might have over him. Did they dredge up something from his past that would be devistating to his political fortunes and he was told to atone or else?

I don't always agree with MoveOn but in this case they're not telling us something we don't already know.
