I'm sure levels of ignorance can be tracked on a curve like anything else, but some of the sites you visit actually shove this curve into the negative side. I think people actually get stupider reading this stuff.
One can get paranoid just by reading about legitimate diseases, yet there is more money to be made by creating a new one and blaming it on the government experimenting on their taxpayers en masse (regardless of how obvious the non sequitur is, that such an assumption generates).
Pharmaceutical companies will eventually jump on the Morgellons bandwagon and sell, yet another drug with side effects far worse than the original disease if there is money to be made off of folks fear.
America is becoming a culture of hypochondriacs who are chronically unwell because they fixate on themselves.
