Lindy, they routinely fly jets back and forth all over the place before a Shuttle launch to check wind and other conditions. After 9/11, there would have been more for security.

Given Florida's humidity conditions, I'd be astounded if they didn't leave trails.

No contrails before 1998?

Did it ever occur to you that people like Clifford may be making this stuff up?
