Space/Science — HabitableZone

Space/Science » in reply to Earth-like planet, with water, around red dwarf Gliese 581?

Are we *sure* it'd have volatiles?

Wasn't there an abstract that someone posted here in HZ in the last two months, arguing that planets forming in the habitable zone of red dwarves would *not* retain many volatiles. Something about the timing of planetismal formation relative to the timing of events as the star forms and turns on. I'm on a biz trip and won't have a chance to look it up 'til Monday, but I'm sure there was something like that recently. Maybe I saw it on unmannedspaceflight.com instead. Of course, just 'cuz there's a paper doesn't mean the author is right.
