Space/Science » in reply to Earth-like planet, with water, around red dwarf Gliese 581?

It's actually has a diameter 50% larger than our world.

Yep! It would have plenty of water; but due to possible "greenhouse" effects, that water could be in the form of hot dense vapor saturating the atmosphere.

The planet does have a hefty gravity.

Such a gravity [and a magnetic field too] would hold on
to a dense atmosphere and or hydrosphere.

I think that planet being a super-Venus is not out of the question.
