Don't be too hard on yourself

This only came to my own attention about a year ago when I was researching "world building" for some SF work. Once someone points it out it seems obvious, but it had never occurred to me before then.

At some point in the far future, assuming nothing happens to stop it, the lunar month and Earth's day will be the same length, and a lot of our own tides will be gone.
