Thanks to people like that woman, our nuclear industry was effectively destroyed about thirty years ago. Since then we've been getting much of our energy from hostile countries, and sources pouring pollution into the environment.

Compare the death toll from nuclear power worldwide with that of, say, coal mining and burning. Oh, dear, there he goes again. That ouchie thinking stuff.

This thread started out with vaccines, and people letting irrational fear potentially endanger their children.

There are consequences to letting your guts make your final decisions.

I don't blame that woman. Her brain doesn't work. I suspect, if she's in the age group I think, that she's been trained all her life to believe that her feelings are as much a gauge of reality as anything else. I do blame the people who pumped the fear into her. People who should have--and probably did--know better, but play women (and men) like that for their own purposes. This happens with nuclear power, vaccines, climate, and many other things. But that's a whole different series of subjects, and I'm tired.
