re: Name the city.

Kansas City. And yes, the air quality here has supposedly improved in recent years but there are many days, particularly during the summer, when there's so much smudge in the air, it's a brown haze over the city. I see it as I drive in--with my windows rolled up--from 45 minutes out in the 'burbs. And the diesel from the buses and trucks bleeds in through my air conditioner. And my asthma gets worse.

Here's to Hydrogen-powered vehicles during my lifetime though I doubt that is realistic.

I DO read statistics, etc. But I believe what I EXPERIENCE.

I knew a guy in high school, an athlete who never smoked, always took care of himself, ate healthily, exercised, etc. He died of a heart attack at age 40 while jogging (no family history). Statistically, he should not have died. But he's dead anyway. My point is, if you depend too much on statistics and not enough on your own eyes and ears and nose, those statistics will rear up and bite you in the asininity.
