As a Brunner fan, he knows how a convincing multi-media presentation composed of narrative, aphoristic chapter headings, excerpted news stories, simulated meeting minutes and magazine articles, "reports to the commission" and other such textual material can be used to provide depth and context to speculative fiction. It's a new art form, now taking advantage of the internet. Let me add to it.

You and I have spoken before, on a night in the late 80s we shared an observing site (on the ridge, past Mindego Hill on Alpine Road, just W of Skyline Drive). I had the Edmunds 8" f/5 reflector, you had a Schmidt-Cassegrain, if I recall correctly. You spilled the whole story to me, without telling me your real name, figuring we'd probably never meet again. I'll tell you the same thing now I told you then: if what you say is true, you signed a security oath when you got that job and from what you've told us all so far, you've not only blabbed enough to go to prison, but you've revealed enough personal information to lead them right to your door.

If your trial is public, it will add corroboration to your story. Keep us posted.
