Okay, that was very reasonable

And you explained yourself well, without getting hot under the collar.
(Is that the Latino in you?)

>"When people tell me what I want to hear and don't show me how to check it out myself I know I'm being lied to, and that should make anybody angry."

That statement doesn't fit the ufo "enigma". You have thousands of sightings, thousands of eyewitness accounts and thousands of different stories about it.

I could add to that other things that weren't "provable", at least in the beginning, by our descriptive methods.
In ancient times, there probably weren't words for "tornado" or "ball lightening". People would see them, talk about them, have evidence of their aftermath, but there was no "proof". Certainly not to convince you.
But that doesn't mean they don't exist. Our detection methods will improve and hopefully some of these scientists who have worked on ET technology will get to tell their stories under amnesty with the advent of the Disclosure Project.

Thanks for cooling off.
