Science and the soul: Descartes loses force

While at the hispital, my mom brought a Herald Tribune with this very interesting article: Science and the Soul: Descartes loses force.

After Copernicus removed the Earth from the Center of the Universe (and only 2 lenses were needed to prove this showing Jupiter), the human mind also turns not to be that different from animals; the soul is actuallly brain processes.

Another chapter on our insignificance.....Why should it bother us at all?
