When did I ever make that a secret?
Indeed, I look upon those who don't think there is any alien life as
akin to still thinking that the Sun goes round the Earth. We have
barely explored enough of space to be so certain that no one else
is out there. It is also absurd to assume "they" are focused on
finding and visiting us, what with 400 billion star systems across
100,000 light years and all just with our Milky Way galaxy alone.
I just don't "believe" in extraterrestrial life just as I don't "believe" in
UFOs or Bigfoot - belief is a form of worship and I don't view aliens
as a religion. Not a big fan of the word "belief" in this context, which
many use so casually here. Aliens are not a belief system.
Since I also take the topic very seriously, I also don't fall hook, line,
and sinker for every story about aliens, UFOs, etc. I have to be more
discriminating or we will never find out for certain if others exist in the
galaxy or not.
So don't make there to be more than there is here - I know you are
quite good at that. ;^)
