I feel we are both insignificant AND significant

It would depend on the relativity of it...one is ego....one is not. Balance.

As sentient living humans we are given the ability to be significant (NOT to be mistaken for narcissism)...and what choices we make is ours to make depending on what purpose/s we choose...ego keeps us from *giving up*...because we do matter...but only our experiences can lead us in this direction...and I feel that many times we are not even aware of how unique we really are because we have absolutely no idea how we touch other peoples' lives...but we are ALL interconnected and it is a chain action/re-action of events that unfold...Life.
The insignificance is the non-ego issue. Knowing we are but a speck in the cosmos, creating a humble and non-arrogant species with compassion for all things and caretakers of it because we choose this as our purpose/s...we are no more, we are no less than all things...and only our experiences of the ego can lead us to draw this conclusion.

Ego propels
No ego is the boundary of the ego.
