re: Science and the soul: Descartes loses force

There is a huge different between humans and animals.
And contrary to idea that humans are insignificant, it's possible that humans are about the only thing of any significant in this entire universe. Though I believe it's more far more likely it's only one of the most significant aspects in this universe.

And though it's titled, "Science of the Soul? ‘I Think, Therefore I Am’ Is Losing Force."

What is quoted by Dr. Miller is correct:
“What do you say as a scientist about the soul?” His answer, he said, is always the same: “As a scientist, I have nothing to say about the soul. It’s not a scientific idea.”

There is no science of the soul and as the article demonstrates with it's either series strawman arguments or perhaps merely a sign of enormous ignorance on the topic, science has yet to resolved anything in regards to topic of the soul and whether it ever will is doubtful.

But the belief of existence or non existence of the soul [or a creator] does not by itself argue one way or other about the significant of human existence. Only an immoral person or non rational person could arrive at conclusion that humans are insignificant- what is more significant than humans or even a single human life?
