The Diablo Cove plant pumps 2.5 billion gallons of water for cooling each day.

If all 440 nuclear plants were the same size then 2.5 BG * 440 = 1100 billion gallons of cooling water increased in temperature by 36F per day.
1100 * 365.25 = 401,775 billion gallons per year * 20 years = 8,035,500 billion gallons of warmer water.

How did that extra heat disappear from the water?

Q, Why only nuclear?
A, Because it is the least studied area of heat distribution and could be instrumental in aggravating the thermal balance.
