When I think of the classical definition of a male homosexual, it includes the notion that a truly gay man sees other men as potential lifetime mates and partners, people he could cement a romantic relationship with. There's a big difference between that and just a sex addict. It's my own belief that a great many men that engage in sex with both men and women do so because there's just twice the opportunity. I think when a man makes the decision to include other males in his pool of potential prey it actually increases his chances of sex by significantly more than double.
Male on male sex like Craig tried to enlist in the bathroom is uncomplicated, no-strings attached sex that I think is probably way easier to find than male/female hookups. Since it has that "sinister" societal label to it, it also probably appeals to someone like Craig because it so much more likely to be extremely discrete since the partners they pick have as much to lose in reputation should they be outed as well. There's also no risk of pregnancy.
The gay community as a whole seems to me to be filled with sex addicts and although I'm certain there are absolutely homosexual people since birth, I think there are also many that end up in the lifestyle primarily for the increase in sexual activity that seems to be prevalent. Obviously people like Craig are wired a bit differently than I am because he's able to get past the revulsion I am equipped with for relationships with someone of the same sex, but I don't think that means he's a homosexual. I think it just means his sex drive rules his thinking.
